Alfred Tennyson said, “A lie that is half-truth is the darkest of all lies.” This is exactly what the devil does with mankind. This is exactly what is being done by the New Age Movement today.
In studying about the mystery surrounding the world of Adam, we become aware of Satan being in the garden with Eve, and later on in the days of Noah, we find fallen angels who were able to have sexual relations with women, producing the ‘Nephilim’, or Giants, or offspring of the Sons of God (fallen angels).
Satan gained control of the earth through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Satan is the Prince and Power of the Air ruling the Kingdoms of this world in darkness. Satan offered Jesus the kingdoms of this world, saying they were his to give to whomever he desired. Jesus, the second Adam, refused to worship Satan, and thus Jesus refused to disobey God.
There is a reason that Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy ‘Kingdom’ come, Thy ‘Will’ be done on earth as it is in heaven. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the ‘evil-one’.” The devil has his own kingdom and it is evil.
The fallen angels who slept with women in Noah’s day, were bound in chains of darkness under this earth, in a place known as ‘Tartarus’ in the Greek, until the White Throne Judgment, when they with Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire. The ‘spirits’ of the humans born from the union of fallen angels with women in Noah’s day are referred to as ‘Earthbound Spirits’, or demons.
Jesus cast out demons while here on earth. The demons begged Him not to send them to the abyss. The abyss is where the fallen angels, who kept not their first estate (Jude 1:6), are being held till judgment. The demons did not want to go where the fallen angels are kept. They are part angelic and they are part human, and they are also part angelic and part animal. In other ancient writings, it is written that these fallen angels also mated with animals, and wreaked havoc on the earth, to the point that the humans were despairing of their existent for lack of food, etc. It is these fallen angels that intermingled with women and taught men secret hidden knowledge in all manner of magic and astrology and arts of the occult. It is these demonic earthbound spirits that hunger for the energy of the human body. They show up as friendly ghosts on one end of the spectrum to poltergeists on the other end of the spectrum. They can influence humans to do wrong things, to the point of obsession and possession.
Satan rules as Prince and Power of the Air over the fallen angels and many of these are involved in the national affairs of nations with destruction and war and the increase of immorality. Michael had to war against the ‘Prince of Persia’ to help Gabriel when he was trying to deliver a message from God to Daniel, and said that he, (Michael) would soon have to fight against the ‘Prince of Greece’. Paul says, For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NASB
Satan also rules over the fallen angels that are being held in prison (Tartarus) under the earth, even though they are bound till judgment. Satan also rules over the ‘Demons’ as the ‘spirits’ of those born from the union of fallen angels with women in Noah’s day. Satan has his kingdom and he has those who attract dark spirits and uses them to further his agenda of deceit and destruction.
We all have felt this when someone walked into a crowded room and we avoided them from some ‘gut-instinct’. This is why I continually say that you need to listen with your heart and spirit and not with your head. His words were like butter, but war was in his heart. Our society places great emphasis on being clever and smart, while we all have been around those who speak one thing but have an ulterior motive in their hearts. If you just listen to the clever words, you will miss the warning of your heart and be deceived into thinking that what they said, they really meant, only later to find out that they were using you to make themselves feel superior, smarter than you, while they got you to help them get their own way. Test the ‘spirits’ to see where they come from. Many ‘spirits’ of people are associated with ‘spirits’ of demons appearing harmless and innocent, while they are busy stimulating some mental or emotional need of our own, they are also busy achieving their own agenda, and you are just a ‘pawn’ on their chess board.
It is interesting to also note that Jesus said that one of the ‘signs’ of His second coming would be ‘marrying and giving in marriage’; Matthew 24:37-39 “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.” NASB
The immorality and marrying had to do with the fallen angels who did not keep their first estate, or who did not obey the boundaries of their rule of the air or of the first heaven above the earth. Jesus implies that this will happen again before He comes at the end of the Tribulation. In fact the book of Revelation speaks of demonic spirits tormenting mankind during the last 3 1/2 years of time for this earth. (Rev. 9:1-11)
The truth of the matter is that Satan has his kingdom and it involves using his demons and fallen angels to rule this world. Jesus came to take this kingdom away from Satan and give the authority of Adam back to those who will believe in Him and help by praying, “Thy kingdom come”. John speaks in Revelation chapter eight, of ‘the prayers of the saints’ as being ‘incense and sacrifices’ that ascend up to God’s throne. He goes on to say that when the seventh seal is opened, that the prayers of the saints, which have been ascended to God for His kingdom to come, for over 2000 years, will be poured out onto the world causing the seven trumpets to sound with judgments.
The New World Order has its origins in the occult and the agenda is the same as it was in the garden. Satan wants to rule the world through a one world leader. Satan always imitates whatever God does. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit versus Satan, Antichrist and False Prophet, the Holy Triune God imitated by Satan, Antichrist and False Prophet. The one world leader will cause every man, woman, and child to take his mark and worship him. If they refuse they will die. You will be forced to worship one or the other. God or Satan. Jesus says, “I am the ‘Way’, the ‘Truth’ and the ‘Life’, and no one comes to the Father but by me.” The New World Order and the New Age Movement try to climb up some other way into the sheepfold by deception of the ghosts around us. There is only one way to get to God and that is through His Son Jesus Christ.
Satan took the Word of God and twisted it to deceive Eve and Adam into thinking they could be ‘gods’ in themselves. Satan has been doing the same ever since with false teaching and false leaders in every level of society. The wealthy elite boldly speak about their world population goals in the New World Order. This is the same system as Satan’s agenda in the books of Daniel and Revelation. The church world has been deceived into incorporating New Age teachings into their liturgy. Paul says Satan transforms himself into an angel of light, that he has his own doctrine, table, and clergy. Oprah is one of his biggest employees, as well as many celebrities and music stars. Just do a little research on their beliefs and see how many of them have ‘sold their souls to the devil’.
Since we have outlawed prayer and anything in regards to the Bible in our schools and in our government offices, and people are too busy being entertained and making a living, they are hearing, seeing, and experiencing the teachings of the Occult via the New Age beliefs. Our souls are being flooded with deception on all levels through all available means of communication. We are ‘ripe’ for accepting the one who will come in his own name, the Antichrist.
Consider some of the teachings of New Age and how they compare to the Bible:
Even given the diversity and transitory nature of the New Age Movement, there are still a number of major tenets generally held in common by most groups within this movement.
First is the belief in monism. New Agers believe that “all is one.” Everything and everyone is interrelated and interdependent. Ultimately there is no real difference between humans, animals, rocks, or even God. Any differences between these entities are merely apparent, not real.
Second is the belief in pantheism. Since New Agers already believe that “all is one,” the next logical assumption would be that “all is god.” All of creation partakes of the divine essence. All of life (and even non-life) has a spark of divinity within.
The third major tenet of the New Age follows as a logical conclusion from the other two. If “all is one” and “all is god,” then we should conclude that “we are gods.” We are, according to New Agers, ignorant of our divinity. We are “gods in disguise.” The goal, therefore, of the New Age Movement is to discover our own divinity.
Fourth, we discover our own divinity by experiencing a change in consciousness. The human race suffers from a collective form of metaphysical amnesia. We have forgotten that our true identity is divine and thus must undergo a change of consciousness to achieve our true human potential (hence the name, the Human Potential Movement).
A fifth tenet is reincarnation. Most New Agers believe in some form of reincarnation. In its classic form, the cycles of birth, death, and reincarnation are necessary to work off our bad “karma” and to reach perfection. The doctrine of karma says that one’s present condition is determined by one’s actions in a past life.
The Western version of reincarnation held by many New Agers places much less emphasis on bad karma and postulates an upward spiral towards perfection through reincarnation. This view has been espoused by such people as Shirley MacLaine, Sylvester Stallone, George Patton, and Henry Ford.
A final major tenet is moral relativism. New Agers think in terms of gray, rather than black or white. Denying the law of non-contradiction, New Agers will often believe that two conflicting statements can both be true. They will therefore teach that “all religions are true” and “there are many paths to God.”
A Biblical Evaluation
When the tenets of the New Age Movement are examined, they are not really new at all. The New Age is really old occultism in new linguistic garb. Many of these concepts can be found in basic form in Genesis 3. Notice these statements made to Eve in the Garden: “You will be like God” (pantheism), “You will not surely die” (reincarnation), “Your eyes will opened” (change of consciousness), and “Did God really say” (moral relativism).
First, a Christian view of reality rejects the concept of monism. The Bible teaches that God’s creation is not an undivided unity but a diversity of created things and beings. The creation is not unified in itself but held together by Christ in whom “all things hold together” (Col. 1:17).
Second, Christianity is theistic, not pantheistic. New Agers teach that God is an impersonal force, while the Bible teaches that God is an imminent, personal, triune, sovereign God. God is separate from His creation rather than merely a part of the creation as pantheism would teach.
Third, we are created in God’s image (Gen. 1:26) and therefore have dignity and value (Psalm 8). New Agers teach that we are gods and thus have divinity within our humanity.
Fourth, New Agers flirt with the occult in their attempt to achieve a change in consciousness. Although these practices are frequently described in benign terms such as parapsychology, they involve direct contact with spiritual entities. The Bible warns against the danger of these practices and lists such activities as divination and spirit channeling as detestable practices (Deut. 18:9-13) that are to be avoided.
Fifth, the Bible teaches resurrection of the body (1 Cor. 15), not reincarnation of the soul. Likewise, the doctrine of karma is foreign to the gospel. Salvation comes from grace, not through the works in this life (Eph. 2:8-9) or in any other alleged past life. We will not be reborn after death. Hebrews 9:27 clearly teaches that “it is appointed for men to die once and after this come judgment.”
Finally, the Bible teaches absolute truth. God has clearly communicated to us his moral law (Ex. 20:1-17), which we are to obey. Contrary to the New Age teaching that “there are many paths to God,” Jesus clearly taught “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Each day brings us closer to when the populace will be forced to choose between the kingdom of Satan or the kingdom of God. You think you have a choice and no one can tell you how to live or believe, and you are right, at least for ‘today’. But when the ‘lawless-one’ arrives, your freedom of choice will be gone. The Patriot Act, National Defense Authorization Act, and many others are turning America into a fascist state. The ideal society is being formed for the appearance of the Antichrist and his rule. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee and get your nose back into the Bible, bending your knees, asking for God’s mercy and protection for you and your loved ones from the evil of Satan’s half-truths.
I, like others, have been caught up in the cares of this world. While I was asleep, 9/11 appeared out of nowhere. The last 12 years have brought some major changes to our world system and it is just the beginning of the reformation of society into the New World Order ruled by a one world leader, Satan. I trust that my remaining days can be spent trying to wake the populace up. Paul says we are not of the night, but of the day, so that the coming of the Antichrist should overtake us as a thief. We have to do our part and open our hearts and minds to what is behind our world events and what is behind the New Age beliefs. We need to question everything for the motive and spirit behind it.
My former wife used to ask me what she should say when we went to the hospital to pray for the sick. I would constantly tell her, “It is not the words you use, it is the love, compassion and empathy that you express behind the words. People forget what they hear, but they remember what they feel. This has been what has kept my faith in Christ throughout all my years in the midst of heartache and pain. God has always allowed me to ‘feel’ His love and comfort through His Holy Spirit in my spirit. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He keeps His promises of never leaving us nor forsaking us even till the end of the age. The end of the age is getting close. Open your mouth with your heart as you lift up your voice expressing your needs to Him before it is too late.
