War originally started in the third heaven. Lucifer was created as the covering cherub, reflecting the light of the Glorious Presence of Almighty God. Ezekiel chapter 28 says that Lucifer became proud of his own beauty and intelligence, and launched a coup against God with a third of the angels. Of course he lost, and was cast out of God’s throne room, but the gifts that were given him were never taken away. He still wreaks havoc on earth and mankind from the second heaven. He still uses his gifts in the music and entertainment industries, and in the political arenas of the world. During the tribulation, the devil will be cast out of the second heaven, down to earth itself, for about 3 ½ years, when he possesses the antichrist. His destination is the Lake of Fire at the White Throne Judgment.
War started with Lucifer, who was the bearer of light covering God’s throne as a Cherub. He chose to rebel against God and became known as Satan, which means adversary. He is God’s adversary and he is the adversary of every man, woman and child, and even of the earth and the first and second heavens. He opposes all that is good and orderly, in revenge against God for casting him out and denying him the worship of the other angels.
He hates mankind, and only uses man for the purpose of giving him worship and rebelling against God. He hates Christians, extremely, because they have been given authority over his demons of darkness. He also knows that believers in Christ will one day sing in heaven’s choir, where he used to lead the other angels in worship to God. Christ’s followers will also judge fallen angels, as examples of mortal men being able to obey God when angelic beings could not.
As soon as the devil sees Adam and Eve, he devises a plan to get them to join him in rebellion against God. They soon choose to disobey God and thus fulfill the devil’s plan.
Since God gave the earth to Adam to replenish and have dominion over the earthly realm, and Adam gave that authority away through obeying God’s enemy, then God is legally bound to allow the transaction.
Paul, in II Corinthians 4:4, said the devil is the god of this world. Jesus did not dispute the devil’s claim, to be able to give Him the kingdoms of this world if He bowed down in worship to him (the devil). (Matthew 4:8)
The nations of this world are under the domain of the devil. He has fallen angels who watch over the nations of the world, trying to keep the leaders in spiritual darkness. Their demons are busy tempting man to worship self, power, fame, wealth, materialism, fleshly pleasures, his own intellect, idols, nature, spirits of the dead, and a host of other things, all of which takes away worship from the one true God.
Jesus said we would see wars, and rumors of wars, nations against nations, and members of households against one another. His coming would be in days like those of Noah’s, when the earth was filled with violence and every imagination was evil. Do you think we are living in those days now?
It is by invitation only
God is now dependent on the will of man to choose to serve him instead of serving self, which is the same as serving the enemy. The earth was legally Adam’s, and now it is legally the devil’s, as man has surrendered the title-deed to Satan.
God loves man so much that He sent His Son to die for the sins of mankind. The cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ destroyed the power of the devil for those who believe, and frees them from the fear of death, because Jesus now holds the keys of death, hell and of the grave.
Jesus stands at the door and knocks, but you and I have to open the door and allow Him to enter our hearts. We have to choose to invite Him to abide with us, because it is a legal transaction.
The only thing that keeps Satan from manifesting as the Antichrist and destroying the whole earth, is the power of the Holy Spirit working in the hearts of those who believe in Him down through the ages of time. When the rapture removes His believers, then all hell breaks loose on earth and one half of the population dies within a few short years.
The world we live in belongs to Satan until the White Throne Judgment, when he will be cast into the Lake of Fire. As citizens of this world, we are under Satan’s dark authority until we verbally choose to invite Christ into our lives. The Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ gave Him authority over the legal right of the devil to keep us in bondage to spiritual death.
But we have to ask Christ to set us free. We have to give Christ permission to kick the devil out of our lives. When we do, the devil has no more power over us, and we receive new citizenship in Heaven with God for eternity.
A true story about the power of using our voices to invite the spirits of demons to war against Christian Pastors and churches
A young man was dedicated by his mother to become a witch when he grew up. In his teens, this young man joined a group of witches for the purpose of attacking churches. He would be able to lie in bed and meditate, and speak incantations that allowed demons to levitate his body, and allow his soul to travel through space without his body, in astral travel. The group of six young men would meet up in their soul forms at a church that they had previously agreed upon to attack. They would then call down dark spirits over the church to hinder the pastor from preaching, and the members from worshiping freely.
One night they met up at this church, and this church had been spending time in prayer and fasting for a fresh move of God’s Holy Spirit. When they approached the church in the air, they all were shocked to see giant angels in warrior’s armor guarding the church. They tried to project themselves back to their bodies to get away from them, but two of these angels took hold of this one young man, and the next thing he knew he was inside the church in his body crying in repentance.
The pastor received in his spirit a word from the Lord that this young man needed deliverance from witchcraft. He prayed for him, and saw him delivered of the demons controlling him; and the young man served the Lord from then on.
What happens when Christians Pray the Fervent Prayer of a righteous man…(James 5:16)
God later showed this young man what happens when believers in Christ pray. He saw a thick cloud of darkness covering the world. Demons could come and go through this darkness, but the prayers of saints could not penetrate it if they had sin in their lives. Sin hinders our prayers, and it is important to repent of any sin before we pray. He saw that lack of faith keeps prayers from breaking through the darkness. We need to ask Jesus to help us with our unbelief, before we pray. He said that intense and fervent prayers are the ones that are ignited with fire from the Holy Spirit, and these prayers actually burn a hole through this cloud of darkness. He said this is why, when demons see people who are about to pray with intensity and ignite in flame, that they send distractions to keep them from praying.
(The telephone rings, and I just have to answer it. Someone comes into your prayer space and has to ask you for something now. You feel hungry and have to go get a snack. The list is endless that can interrupt our prayer time)
This is where the old-time preachers got the term, ‘Breaking-Through’.
There is a war going on, and Paul says we do not wrestle with flesh and blood. There is a spiritual realm that we wrestle with, consisting of principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. ( Ephesians 6:12)
Paul also said that people do not believe in the Gospel of Christ, because the devil has blinded their minds, keeping the light of Christ from shining in them. ( II Corinthians 4:4)
Paul also taught us to put on the whole armor of God, to be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
The world is at war, and will always be at war, right up to the Battle of Armageddon when the nations of the world, under the Antichrist, war against Jesus Christ and His army of angels and saints! There will be no peace until The Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, sets up His 1,000 year kingdom, and the devil is finally cast into the Lake of Fire.
Until then, God is relying on us, as believers in Christ, to bend our knees, humble our hearts, and lift our voice, inviting Him to bring His Kingdom of Righteousness into this world forever, where His will is done by every child, woman and man, including with the animals and in nature.
The more we pray, and ask for His will to be done, the more power His angels have to minister to us and to those around the world, including our loved ones, and the sooner He will return and establish His Truth once and forever.
