I just finished reading the book, “Angels In The Fire” by Dann Stadler. It is an excellent read and I highly recommend it to all who have seen their loved ones or friends, or have themselves, personally gone through difficult and painful sufferings. You will be encouraged to see how the faith of Dann and his wife, Tracey, as well as the faith of their parents, carried them all through many different, painful and tragic events in their lives. Jesus shows up, and also one of His angels, to help them through it all; and now Dann has written about it in this book.
The two main points of interest to me, among many, were:
Number one- this family were simply believers in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They were not overly dedicated to their church, nor devout Christians, but God shows up for them in the hour of their need. Faith is powerful!
Number Two- Jesus Christ personally rescues Tracey from a burning car, and an angel of God touches her face with his hand and heals her burns; but neither Jesus Christ, nor His angel, healed Tracey or Dann completely. They both had to go through extensive surgeries and rehab, and suffer some pain to this day.
The Scriptures that come to mind are: Romans 8:28, II Corinthians 4:17-18, and II Corinthians 4:7-12.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you.”
Enjoy the read, and be encouraged that God is with us in the midst of our sufferings and tribulations, and He is weaving it all together, for a beautiful New Creation in Him for Eternity! I can’t wait to see how all the good, bad and ugly are put together by His Creative hands to make us into an eternal vessel, which is fit for His Glory. He honors simple Faith in Him! James
