What a day we are living in –

– Crime, and violence in every town and village

– Corruption in high places, abuse of authority by elected presidents, governors, sheriffs, police

– Sexual liaisons between pastors and their saints, professors and their students, high school teachers (men and women) and their students, daycare providers and the little children left in their care

– Rape and animalistic behavior, young children abused and impregnated by their relatives

– Kidnappings and held captive as sex slaves

– Men having sex with men, women having sex with women, polygamy and polyamory flaunting the laws and morals of society; while fornication, adultery, and unnatural sexual unions abound

– The nations of the world repositioning for superpower status, leaving America behind with an unstable dollar that is ready to collapse, while living with the threat of nuclear annihilation

– Isis and militant Islam torturing and beheading Christians for refusing to accept their false god

– Israel trying to find friends to help protect her from her enemies, while all demand she gives up the land God promised her through Abraham

– The elimination of the middle class, while the rich hold 90% of the wealth

– Increase of natural disasters around the world, while Yellowstone threatens to erupt and wipe out most of the United States

– Wars and civil unrest in all but 11 of the 162 countries of the world

– Aborting 56 million babies since 1973

– Using live fetuses with heartbeats to experiment with DNA, in the name of science

– Terrorism and chemical warfare on doorstep of America

– Martial Law being practiced by the military, with FEMA camps ready for large populations of detainees

– Increase in Occult activity, New Age communication with angels instead of Jesus Christ as the only way to the Father

– Atheists demanding equal rights with Christians to have their own churches and way

– Removal of prayer and any mention of the one true God from all schools and public offices

– Lack of passion from Christians to rededicate themselves and make intercession for the lost

– Signs in the heavens and prophetic meanings tied to Blood Moons this fall

These are just a few of the ills of our society that are in the news every day across the globe.

No wonder that Anne Graham Lotz is calling for Christians to fast and pray in an “Urgent call to prayer” May 15-23, 2015.

I encourage you to fast and pray with her on these seven days and ask God to forgive us for all we have done to displease and disobey Him, while asking Him to heal our country and the world by convicting them of their rebellious ways and by pouring out of His Holy Spirit upon all flesh!

Joel 2:32, “But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the LORD has said. These will be among the survivors whom the LORD has called.”

II Chronicles 7:14, “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
